Adam: “Community travelled with me.”
A child of the founding family reflects on hidden cost, belonging and his hope for the next twenty years.
A living magazine
Twenty years of faith, people, ideas and impact. A future still being written.
An anniversary is more than a celebration. It is a compass check: What did God say? What has God done? What have we become? What must we become next?
Before the name · Before 2006
Long before TBN had a name, one question was already disturbing Pastor Francis: why should the life of God be confined to church? The whole-life theology, teaching burden and instinct to connect Scripture with ordinary life had been developing for years.
The institution began in 2006. The conviction began much earlier.
1 October 2006 · The first gathering
The first public service took place on a Sunday morning. The timing was deliberate: the new work would not begin by drawing people away from their own churches after morning worship. Nearly 200 people reportedly came in support—a figure still being checked against the archive.
A burden became a church, but the church was never meant to contain the burden.
What grace built · Twenty years of formation
Buildings can be photographed and programmes can be listed. The most important evidence lives in people: what they learned, carried, built and became. The Word was expected to travel into work, money, leadership, family, citizenship and creativity.
Build people in such a way that institutions come looking for them.
The network beyond the room · Across homes and continents
Adam Madojemu remembers people, not merely a place. Church arrived early, stayed late and regularly entered the family home. Years later, physical distance made the gift clearer: community could outlive geography and remain an anchor.
Community isn’t necessarily a specific place. It’s the people and what they’re doing together.
The hand forward · The road to 2046
The next twenty years require more than preserving a Sunday gathering. Digital access, AI and global mobility have widened the field. The task is to unite that access with the wisdom and life of God—forming capable people and releasing them into the world.
We are not replacing the foundation. We are building more faithfully upon it.

Family, community and a teenage empowerment opportunity became photography, videography and service.
Kingdom Conversation
Begin with a real question. The answer opens a door back into the evidence rather than replacing it.
Because a long-forming conviction needed an institution: the life of God was meant to become visible beyond Sunday, in the whole of life.
